So who's behind this website?
Hi, my name is Renate, nature lover and travel enthusiast. Driven by lots of creativity and out-of-the-box-thinking, I have an absolute passion for solving seemingly impossible (online marketing) challenges. Turning problems into challenges is second nature to me. Finding solutions to something that seemed impossible at first glance gives me massive kick.
While I highly value a good dose of creativity in my own working style and that of other’s, my pragmatic mindset helps to keep the creative process balanced. I believe combining creativity and pragmatic thinking leads to a well thought out process supporting working efficiency and gratification.
Current studies & skills
As you’re reading this, I’m studying for my Bachelor’s degree Equine, Sports and Business, an internationally focused studies in Holland. You might think, ‘what does any of that have to do with online marketing?’. Well, let me explain! My Bachelor’s study is a 50/50 mix of equine related courses (animal health, nutrition, stable management) and business related subjects. The latter has a wide range of topics, varying from finances, to innovation & entrepreneurship, and finally marketing. Through these subjects I quickly found my passion for online marketing, leading me to further develop my marketing knowledge during my minor E-marketing (30 EC).
During these e-marketing courses, I got to dive into a wide variety of topics that allowed me to deepen my marketing knowledge and that gave space for my creativity and analytical thinking. Several assignments helped develop hard skills like SEO and working with programmes like Google Analytics, WordPress and Mailchimp. Additionally I got to grow in my experience with previously utilised programmes such as Meta and Facebook Business Manager. I’m excited to bring my acquired skills and knowledge into practice during internships and finally in my future job.
