Professional Experience
Throughout my studies and student life I got many opportunities to develop my professional experience as an online marketeer as well as my approach to group projects. Curious to know more about my endeavours? Scroll through this page and learn about my board experience(s) and interesting school projects.
Event Organisation
As part of the Bachelor’s study Equine, Sports and Business, I took part in the organisation of our study’s yearly event: NextQuestrian. The event is completely student-run and focuses on sustainable equestrianism. During the time span of a semester (September – Januari), our class build that year’s event from the ground up.
I got to fulfil a head of department role as the planning manager, which meant I was part of the event’s board alongside my peers from other departments. Together with my three department members, I was responsible for keeping track of each department’s planning and tasks, creating the event schedule, directing volunteers and the role of timekeeper.
Looking back, we had a great learning experience with an even more wonderful outcome. A smoothly run event and an individual mark of 8,7 (/10) for my performance.

Innovation & Entrepreneurship Module
Part of the study’s Innovation & Entrepreneurship module was the so-called ‘innovation game’. An 8-hour day in which we developed a new product from scratch and pitched our innovative idea to the ‘dragon’s den’.
With our product idea, first sketches, target group evaluation and stakeholder assessment, my group won the pitching round in the dragon’s den. A great start of the module, during which we further developed our marketing and financial strategies. The product was presented at the school’s business fair alongside the other groups, for which we created a (fictional) video to represent our product.
Board Year 1: Study Association
Starting July 2022 until November 2023 I participated as a board member in our study association. Our main goal was to organise activities that were both expanding and deepening to our study’s curriculum.
As we had to newly establish the study association in 2022, my peers and I gained really valuable experience in building a professional network and in the organisation of small sized events. As the chair person, I especially thrived in holding efficient board meetings.
Board Year 2: Student Association
You might think one board year was enough, but an exciting opportunity arose to become chair person of another board. From July 2023 to July 2024 I got to preside our Christian student association together with my three board members.
My responsibilities varied from setting up meeting agendas, leading member meetings and creating the annual activities schedule to attending national board meetings and chatting with association members about occurring issues or questions.
Though I felt rather prepared for this role after my previous board year, I still faced many insightful challenges over the year. Through my responsibilities I learned new ways of structuring tasks, standing up for what I believe in and many insights in the topic of communication.
